C is for COVID – and Cancellation – but also for CREATIVITY!

Once again, a Momenta Quartet member has tested positive for COVID. (Not to worry – the person has only mild symptoms and is already doing much better.) We put our heads together and came up with a creative solution:

We have made the difficult decision to postpone Momenta Festival VII to September 15–18, 2022 (SAVE THE DATES!). Programming updates coming soon. All concerts will be at 7:30pm at Broadway Presbyterian Church; free admission.

However, we are moving forward with our special Juneteenth Celebration and CD Release concert on Friday, June 17 at 7:30 pm – and it will still be a benefit for Music for Food!

Momenta in March

3/9/2022

Dear friends,

It is difficult to write a newsletter in these dark and terrifying times for our world. The Momenta Quartet stands with Ukraine and with all innocent individuals caught up in this terrible situation. Meanwhile, some much needed good news around these parts...

Firstly, thanks to all of your generosity, we raised $7948 towards our $8000 goal in our year-end fundraising campaign. Thank you, thank you, thank you! All of those proceeds will go to our in-person Momenta Festival VII. Please save the dates:

Support the Momenta Quartet this Holiday Season!

Your year-end donations will help us produce the next in-person Momenta Festival this June!

Dear friends,

It’s been quite a year – again! I hope you all are doing as well as possible in these weird times.

All things considered, Momenta has had an excellent and productive Fall. We made our first in-person college visits to Haverford and Williams Colleges and Binghamton University, where we will make two more visits as part of our residency this year. What I am most happy about – no more virtual performances!

Which brings me to the topic of this letter – we are in the planning and fundraising phase of the next real, honest-to-goodness, live, in-person actual Momenta Festival this coming June!!!
