Momenta is reporting to you from Vermont this week where we are taking part in an intensive Yellow Barn artist residency. We’re working on Debussy Quartet and Ives Second Quartet with esteemed Yellow Barn faculty Roger Tapping and Gil Kalish. The residency will culminate tomorrow night with a performance of both works at Putney’s Next Stage. We’ve been having a great time working on these pieces and also blasting Facebook and Twitter with pictures of the various wildlife we’ve met since arriving in Vermont. (Don’t worry, we’ll have more pictures for you soon!)
Today we had the opportunity to head up to Colchester, VT for an interview and performance on Vermont Public Radio. We discussed some quartet history and our Yellow Barn residency, and then performed the complete Debussy Quartet! Click to listen to the performance.
